Why I decided to quit my Corporate Job

I was lucky to work at one of the leading banks here in the Philippines, had a great job (was a Phone Banker) and I must say that the pay is not bad either. I worked with the most talented people I could ever know. The only problem is I don't see myself doing the same thing for the rest of my life. Many people would say that not everyone is fortunate enough to work in a premier bank but as I always say, I want to be able to do the thing that I love and earn from it. A lot of people earn from what steams up their passion, why can't I do the same? Well, I love writing, I enjoy it as much as reading (even though I'm not a big fan of books). So one lazy afternoon I stumbled upon a website and I saw the posting for article writers, I clicked it and what immediately caught my eye is that it will allow you to work at home- no boss, no set of rules and definitely no schedule (waking up in the mornings is no fun for me!). I didn't know that there's a job like this! So I sent an email with my resume to the project employer and after a few exchanges, luckily I got the job. She started teaching me about article marketing and also she taught me how to use squidoo and how I can make use of www.ezinearticles.com. I was enjoying it so much, reading about a lot of things and being an expert with topics which I never imagined I can be interested at. I loved it so much except for the part where I don't see my real name on the articles that I worked hard for. It made me wonder how they can use my articles to make a lot of money (more than I make of course).

I've been writing for these people for several months now and I still get paid the same amount of money, it's not bad but I think I can earn much much more in doing the thing that I love the most-writing. Sure my boss taught me about article marketing but the whole idea was just so vague, the truth is I thought there's no way for me to do what other people can do, you know make a lot of money while working at the comfort of your home. I thought it's too difficult to get started because first, I have no background in Internet Marketing or blogging and second, I don't have any idea how I can build my own website. I didn't have any idea how other people can earn from doing this kind of thing. To cut it short, I deemed it was just hard!

I happen to read one write-up about freelance writing and the author was saying that writing can make you successful only if you work hard and if you're passionate about what you do, and I thought I'm passionate about writing and I can definitely work hard! So I read on and saw his other article which talks about blogging. It pointed me to this site http://becomeablogger.com/ and I downloaded the Roadmap to become a Blogger ebook. I'm currently on page 26 and I can tell you that I'm so excited about it that I immediately started my own blog. I know that I still have a lot to learn and I'll be lucky if some people can help me out but I'm going to work harder to be where I want to be and to do what I've always loved doing. This is a totally new endeavor for me and I'm thankful that everything that happened in my life paved the way to this road.

I'll keep y'all posted about my journey to successful blogging.
